Walkthrough[ | ]
This quest begins when the Dragonborn finds Froki's Shack and goes inside to speak with the old man. The hunter longs for the old days when Nords worshipped Kyne instead of the Imperially-sanctioned Divines. He then offers the Dragonborn a blessing if agreed to undertake the Sacred Trials of Kyne. These trials involve killing animal spirits located around Skyrim.
These beasts can be killed in any order once they show up in the list of objectives.
Defeat the Guardian Mudcrab[ | ]
The first guardian beast is the Guardian Mudcrab which can be found south-east of Gjukar's Monument.
Defeat the Guardian Skeever[ | ]
The second guardian beast is the Guardian Skeever which can be found near the Windward Ruins.
Defeat the Guardian Wolf[ | ]
The third guardian beast is the Guardian Wolf which can be found by south-west of the The Guardian Stones with some other wolves.
Return to Froki[ | ]
Once the first three guardian beasts have been killed, the Dragonborn can report the progress to Froki who will send them back out to kill three more.
Defeat the Guardian Bear[ | ]
The next guardian is the Guardian Bear, just south of Knifepoint Ridge.
Defeat the Guardian Mammoth[ | ]
The fifth guardian is the Guardian Mammoth which is found in the mammoth graveyard just north-west of Loreius Farm.
Defeat the Guardian Sabre Cat[ | ]
The sixth beast is the Guardian Sabre Cat which can be found along the coast, just west of Bleakcoast Cave.
Return to Froki[ | ]
Once the next three guardian beasts have been killed, the Dragonborn can report the progress to Froki who will send them back out to kill the final guardian beast.
Defeat the Guardian Troll[ | ]
The final guardian is the Guardian Troll which is inside Graywinter Watch with another troll (at level 28 two trolls). Froki's Bow is also inside this cave.
Return to Froki[ | ]
Now that all the guardian beasts have been defeated, the Dragonborn can return to Froki for a reward, Kyne's Token. If the old hunter's bow was also found, Froki allows the Dragonborn to keep it.
