A Gargoyle is an arcane guardian in the service of a Vampire Lord or his vampiric servants. They exist in an inert state as ornate, lifelike stone sculptures, placed in strategic locations in places of importance to the Vampire. When an interloper is deemed dangerous, the Gargoyle (of which there is often more than one) awakens, and proves to be a troublesome melee opponent.
A Gargoyle resembles a demonic, fanged, winged creature of legend. They are apparently non-sentient and do not speak nor wear armor nor wield external weaponry.
