Walkthrough[ | ]
When first entering the Tel Mithryn settlement Talvas Fathryon will have been trying to summon an Ash Guardian, and Varona Nelas, the steward, will be less than thrilled about all this.
Destroy the Ash Guardian[ | ]
After having talked to Neloth in Tel Mithryn, the main tower, returning outside Talvas will desperately ask for help, concerning the ash guardian he summoned but has run amok. It should be relatively simple to take out the ash guardian and thus help Talvas.
Talk to Talvas[ | ]
Return to Talvas in the tower in his master's laboratory, eagerly awaiting good news on the outcome of his slight magical misstep. As a reward for the help he will offer either the spell he developed: Spell Tome: Conjure Ash Guardian together with a Heart Stone required to control the guardian; or offer the in his eyes much saver Staff of Magelight. Again he asks the Dragonborn to keep the whole matter quiet from master Neloth.
From now on Talvas becomes available as a follower, Conjuration trainer and merchant.
