Arcane University

The ancient, long-disbanded Mage's Guild was headquartered in the Imperial City, until the end of the Third Era. This headquarters, which existed in a separate part of the city connected by a stone bridge, was known as the Arcane University. It was the center of research and authority for the entire Mage's Guild throughout the Empire. Open only to the Guild's most accomplished and highly recommended members, it contained not only the University but the Imperial Orrery, which functioned on the same Dwemer technology as the ancient facility located outside Stros M'Kai in Hammerfell.
