Walkthrough[ | ]
After having found the Elder Scroll (Dragon) and Elder Scroll (Blood), the Moth Priest Dexion Evicus will alas not be able to read them, since he has become blind. But there is an alternate way, the Dragonborn may read them, after some preparations.
Find a Moth Priest's knife[ | ]
First a Draw Knife must be found at the Ancestor Glade, collect it from the round stone sculpture in the centre of the stream.
Gather bark from a Canticle Tree[ | ]
Then bark from a Canticle Tree needs to be gathered.
Attract Ancestor Moth Swarms[ | ]
The smell of this special bark attracts Ancestor Moths, seven such swarms will need to be attracted.
Enter the column of light and read the Elder Scroll (Blood)[ | ]
Then enter the column of light at the centre of the glade, and read the Elder Scroll (Blood). The moths act as an conduit, protecting the Dragonborn's eyesight.
Speak to Serana[ | ]
The Dragonborn now knows where Auriel's Bow is located, in a place called Darkfall Cave. This launches the follow-up quest: Touching the Sky.
While talking the Dawnguard attack should the Dragonborn have sided with the vampires, otherwise vampires attack.
