IGN released a gameplay trailer on Youtube. Some of the observances in this trailer:
- A man shouts at a kneeling dragon. The shout has a powerful effect.
- The structures, such as village buildings, are mostly made of stone and decorated with dragon imagery. The shingles on the roofs of houses appear to look like dragon scales. Other structures are made of wood with hay roofs.
- A powerful river is shown in the video as well as a slow-flowing river that passes through a village. The village has built a water wheel to harness some of the small stream's power.
- A giant-sized Neanderthal-looking man wielding a club walks through the alpine forest adorned with bones and a non-human skull and some light fur-based clothing.
- A man crouches in a dense forest, appearing to hunt or capture an animal that looks like a horse or moose.
- The player wields a sword in the right hand and magic on his left hand when faced with a large dark-colored Yetti.
- An indoor scene shows a man being attacked from behind resulting in his throat being cut, while in the background a musician plays the violin.
- The player defends against a dragon with a shield and attacks the dragon with a sword in his other hand. The strike from the sword sends some of the dragon's blood flying.
- The player uses a large hammer to smash the head of a humanoid monster with luminescent blue eyes, metal armor, and a thin skeletal body.
- The player uses a carved magical staff in their left hand to shoot a magical spell down a tunnel while holding a sword in their right hand.
- Two men fight with some good fight animations (involving ducking when a sword is swung).
- A large wolf is hunting at close range using a bow and arrow by the player.
- A dragon is slashed with a sword as it flys past at close range.
- A giant spider is repelled by the player.
- A dragon falls out of the sky after wounds inflicted to it by a sword slash as it flew close to the ground.
- The burning remains of a dragon have some sort of magical effect on the man overseeing it. He may have killed the dragon.
- The rugged, winter, mountainousness setting shows a dragon flying off what appears to be stone perches designed for dragons.
