The Falmer are a mythical race of elves that dwell deep within the mountainous regions of Skyrim. Centuries of living underground has supposedly rendered the Falmer blind.
Lore
The Falmer are believed to be descendants of the Elven race and to be mythical beings whom reside in the remote mountain ranges that seem to tower above and around Skyrim. Although it is possible that the Falmer exist outside of the imaginations of superstitious Skyrim villagers, there has been no evidence ever found to prove the existence of these mythical beings within Skyrim.
