Elmus and the other Nords are less than thrilled having lost their Thirsk Mead Hall to Rieklings. In their haste to retreat they left behind quite a few things, most notably Ashfire Mead.
Bring Elmus some Ashfire Mead from Thirsk Mead Hall
The Dragonborn can offer to get Ashfire Mead from the Thirsk Mead Hall. And even though the hall is run over by Rieklings, they will not attack. So look around and gather a bottle, to then return it to Elmus for a substantial reward.
