Black Marsh is the homeland of the reptilian people known as Argonians. It is dark wetlands characterized by black marshes and bogs, thick with vegetation located in south-eastern Tamriel, east of Cyrodiil and north of Elsweyr. It is considered a province of the Empire.
It is also home to a sentient race of trees known as the Hist.
