Riften

A city in south-eastern Skyrim. When you first arrive, the Guards will tell you that you need to pay a visitors Tax, but this is a scam run by the Guards. The Thieves' Guild and the Temple of Mara are located here. The Black-Briar family resides in Riften. They are quite corrupt, the daughter is trying to summon the dark brotherhood and the son is in jail and you may choose to steal a horse for him. The Ratway is the complex under the main walkways, at water level.
