While at the Riften Jail, the Dragonborn can speak with Sibbi Black-Briar who is being held there for murder. Sibbi explains that the man he killed was the brother of his former fiancée. He goes on to say that Svidi, his fiancée then fled and asks the Dragonborn to track her down.
Discover Svidi's whereabouts[ | ]
Once Svidi, aka Lynly Star-Sung has been located at the Vilemyr Inn in Ivarstead, the Dragonborn can either persuade (only with very high speech skills) or intimidate Lynly into admitting who she is, to then ask for her side of the story.
Tell / Lie to Sibbi Black-Briar about Lynly[ | ]
The Dragonborn can then either tell Sibbi the truth about Lynly's whereabouts, which would lead to her to not dying anyway, or lie and misdirect Sibbi. In either case, Sibbi gives the Dragonborn a rewards for services rendered.
