School of Illusion

The Illusion skill focuses on bending the minds of NPCs, spells such as Fear and Calm, and affecting player produced effects such as sound. Examples of these kinds of spells are Muffle and Invisibility. The Illusion skill can often be used in con concert with stealth skills. An example would be using the Muffle spell while sneaking to remain undetected, or using the Invisibility skill while picking a lock to remain unseen.

Like all spell-casting skills, it advances through repeated use. However, there are requirements for some spells. For example, the Invisibility and Muffle skills require the player to be near an NPC while using them. When using these skills, the more you move and remain undetected by an NPC, the more experience is gained. The Clairvoyance spell simply requires the player to proceed along the created path. In short, the illusion skill's best uses lie in avoiding or leaving combat, and altogether, a useful skill to invest in.

Illusion spells can also be augmented with potions which Fortify Illusion
